The ARI 458 Box XL as a mobile library in use at the Liberitutti association in Turin, Italy

The Liberitutti association in Turin has put the ARI 458 Box XL into operation as a mobile library. With this innovative project, the vehicle brings books directly to schools and youth facilities to promote access to education. The conversion of the ARI 458 into a library on wheels is part of the extensive work surrounding Cascina Falchera, an initiative that focuses on sustainability, social innovation and education.

TheARI 458 Box XL was chosen because its compact design and maneuverability make it ideal for the narrow streets of many Italian cities. Equipped with an SLA battery, which enables a range of 120 km, and the comfort package, the vehicle is perfectly suited to the requirements of the project. We are delighted that small ARIs are now also on the road in Turin, the birthplace of the legendary Fiat 500.

The Cascina Falchera is a place dedicated to promoting environmental awareness, innovation and community involvement. As part of the project, the mobile library helps to bring education directly to the people, creating great added value for society even with limited resources.

Since 2022, Cascina Falchera has also been a demonstration site of the European Commission's New European Bauhaus. This creative and interdisciplinary program promotes sustainable, inclusive and future-oriented projects.
