ARI 458 Pickup XL at ABV-Verpackungen in Bremen (Germany)

One company that, like ARI Motors GmbH, focuses on individual transport solutions for customers is "Allgemeine Bremer Verpackungen". The company has been producing industrial export packaging for every need for many years. Whether by air, water or land, "ABV-Verpackung" protects goods and merchandise with perfectly customized transport solutions. The packaging itself is carried out either in the company's halls, directly at the customer's premises or at special locations, such as construction sites.

Managing Director Ralf Susemiehl has opted for an ARI 458 Pickup XL to supplement his delivery fleet. It travels around 50 kilometers a day to make deliveries in the Bremen area where none of the seven Mercedes-Benz Sprinters in the fleet are needed. Instead of incurring high diesel costs on short journeys, the ARI 458 with its low power consumption of around 8 kWh per 100 kilometers is the ideal solution for such trips. And best of all, the company operates its own photovoltaic system, which means that the ARI always runs on environmentally friendly and free solar power.

With the largest flatbed, the ARI 458 has a loading area measuring 163 cm long by 125 cm wide and side walls 30 cm high. ABV has also ordered four lashing eyes on the loading area to secure deliveries. This means that even bulky goods can be easily secured. A ladder rack and impact protection on both sides are also supplied with the vehicle and are of course available as an option for all ARI 458 electric transporters. Mr. Susemiehl himself has installed a piece of equipment that ARI Motors GmbH unfortunately does not yet offer: a loudspeaker system that plays "La Cucaracha" when required (see pictures).

After a few days at the company, the individually wrapped ARI 458 Pickup XL has so far been dubbed "the little one" by the employees, which seems very appropriate in the midst of the large trucks and sprinters on the company premises. According to Mr. Susemiehl, the most frequent reaction from customers is one word in particular: "cuddly". A very apt description, in our opinion.

According to the Managing Director, the ARI 458 at "Allgemeine Bremer Verpackungen" also functions as a test object in terms of electromobility . The company wanted to see whether an electric van could meet the requirements that a delivery company like "ABV" has to deal with on a daily basis, apart from large deliveries by truck. Ralf Susemiehl seems very impressed and says: "The ARI was the first... but more will probably follow."
