ARI 1710 E-Transporter in use at the Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin

In future, the Maxim Gorki Theater will rely on electric support for its internal logistics. An ARI 1710 electric transporter has been delivered for transport tasks between different locations and will be used by the theater's building services department on a daily basis.

The vehicle is primarily used when stage parts, props or technical equipment need to be transported between the main building in Berlin's city center and the rehearsal stage. Bulky or sensitive components that need to be moved safely and efficiently are a regular occurrence in theater operations. For this reason, the decision was made in favor of a vehicle with a particularly large loading space and high suitability for everyday use.

The ARI 1710 used was specially equipped for these requirements. The vehicle has a large battery that offers sufficient range for daily use in city traffic. A CCS quick-charging connection is also installed so that the van can be recharged quickly if required.

In the cargo area, four airline lashing rails ensure flexible and secure fastening of stage material, props or technical equipment. In addition, the load compartment is completely covered to protect both the load and the vehicle structure from damage. An additional rear step was also fitted for practical everyday use in theater operations, making it much easier to get in and out of the vehicle and to load and unload.

The Maxim Gorki Theater is located in Dorotheenstadt in Berlin's Mitte district and, with 440 seats, is the smallest of Berlin's state theaters. Compact, quiet and low-emission transport solutions play a particularly important role in a densely built-up inner-city environment.

The new ARI 1710 panel van is currently being used alongside existing combustion vehicles. However, the plan is to gradually replace other vehicles with electric vehicles in order to reduce operating costs and make mobility more sustainable.

By using the electric van, the Maxim Gorki Theater is demonstrating that electric commercial vehicles are not only suitable for trade or delivery services, but also represent a sensible and practical solution for daily transport in the cultural sector.
