What climbing ability does my ARI Motors electric vehicle have?
The climbing ability indicates the degree of incline up to which a vehicle can climb a slope. It depends on many factors: The power and drive type of the vehicle, weight and center of gravity distribution as well as the traction of the tires and the surface. In everyday life, climbing ability is important not only when driving on mountainous roads but also on ramps and driveways.
The climbing ability is usually given as a percentage, whereby the percentage indicates the vertical meters covered per 100 meters of driving distance. A gradeability of 20% therefore means that a vehicle can cover a distance that includes a gradient of 20 meters over a distance of 100 meters.
