Cities and municipalities are also increasingly seeing it as their duty to contribute to emission-free transportation. The ARI 345 flatbed is therefore already being used twice in the Upper Palatinate town of Schwandorf. Since January 2022, the municipal building yard has been using an ARI 345 with a leaf grate body and an ARI 345 with a tarpaulin body for day-to-day work for the municipality.

The cargo moped with tarpaulin body supports a janitor who assists the school janitors at the schools and is mainly used for gardening work. The maximum payload of more than 300 kilograms enables flexible working and the cargo trike even completely replaces a Skoda Yeti at this point. The second ARI 345 flatbed with lattice body was purchased for a generalist. Together with the ARI, this generalist takes care of general city beautification work and the distances in the city area would simply be too far to cover on foot every day.

According to building yard manager Michael Übel, the vehicles cover an estimated 5-10 kilometers per day and the battery, with a range of 55 km, lasts for several days without recharging. Once the battery is empty, the vehicles can be conveniently charged at the janitor's workshop or at a charging station in front of the town hall. The vehicles have met with a consistently positive response from both drivers and citizens, Übel continues.
