Is The ARI 458 Available As Right-Hand Drive (RHD)?

Before you can get started with your ARI electric vehicle, it has to be insured and [approved](/en/blog/faq/how-does-the-approval-of-my-ari-motors-electric-vehicle-work) - just like any other vehicle. Please check the national laws and regulations concerning vehicle insurance for your country, because they may vary.

 

In most countries, the first step is to take care of the **liability insurance** of your vehicle. This is a prerequisite for official approval and protects you financially in the event of an accident that you are responsible for.

 

For even more comprehensive protection, in most countries you can also take out **comprehensive insurance / collision damage insurance**. This covers the cost of damage to your vehicle. You have the choice between **partially comprehensive or fully comprehensive** - depending on the desired scope of insurance. Which damages are comprehensively insured in detail depends on the respective insurance provider. Which one you choose is of course up to you.

How do I insure my ARI Motors electric vehicle?

The possible combinations of the vehicle bodies of ARI Motors electric vehicles are numerous. A good example of this has recently been on the road on the “sunny island” of Fehmarn: An [ARI 458 with a tipper loading area and a lattice box installed on it](/en/light-electric-vans/ari-458/tipper) is now in the service of the Fehmarn Tourist Service. The vehicle takes care of the promenade maintenance on the beaches of Germany's third largest island and travels around 100 kilometers per week at the Burgtiefe marina.

According to harbormaster Ralph Becker, only an electric vehicle was considered for the task from the start. The loading area is 1.55 meters long by 1.25 meters wide and is equipped with a lattice box, which makes the transport of new and old plant material much easier. And all the necessary work equipment can also be easily stowed away. The vehicle is also equipped with air conditioning for hot summer days and winter tires for the cold half of the year.

**1.** **One-hour free test drive:** For a first acquaintance:

 

- at a location of your choice (e.g. place of residence, company premises, association), within Germany or its neighbouring countries
- vehicle is brought and picked up
- excursions in the surrounding area, freeway trips, test cargo space, etc. possible
- for a period of one hour
- including introduction to the vehicle by a qualified employee
- fully comprehensive insurance
- free of charge


 

**2.** **Five-day test phase for a fee:** For intensive testing

 

- at a location of your choice (e.g. place of residence, company premises, association), within Germany or its neighbouring countries
- vehicle is brought and picked up
- for 5 whole days
- including introduction to the vehicle by a qualified employee
- fully comprehensive insurance
- fee of 349 euros for [cargo mopeds](/en/cargo-mopeds), the [small transporter ARI 458](/en/light-electric-vans) and [ARI passenger vehicles](/en/electric-cars)
- fee of 549 euros for [ARI 901](/en/electric-utility-vehicle)
- advantage: fee will be deducted upon purchase
