How it all began - The ARI Motors story

The three founders Daniel Jacob, Thomas Kuwatsch and Pavel Pilus are all fans of cars and have been working together for more than 10 years in various projects concerning automobility. Over time, the mutual interest in electromobility increased, while also facing the relatively high costs of electromobility in Europe. All three of them shared the opinion that e-mobility has to be economically viable now and not in the distant future. With the aim to produce “low-priced and practical” utility vehicles and to establish them on the European market, they went out to look for an electric solution for business customers in 2016.

Due to the fact that the Asian market offered already a diverse range regarding electromobility, the founders met an appropriate and already established partner in Jiayuan EV to implement their idea of electromobility. A first prototype received the European road approval in the same year, namely 2017. At first, selling the vehicles started in the Czech Republic via the distribution partner velorXtrike s.r.o. In cooperation with the first customers, the company developed optimizations and accommodations to satisfy the higher quality standards of the European market and its customers.

By doing this, the qualifications for an entry in the German market were fulfilled – at first under the brand VXT-Deutschland OHG in 2018. Since the beginning of 2019 the company operates under the name ARI Motors GmbH which functions as an umbrella brand for continually expanding the range of models. To this day, the number of vehicle bodies of the electric transport vehicle was raised from two up to eight. Together with customers, the company developed individual and branch-specific transport solutions that are designed and produced in the company-owned manufactory. More new vehicle bodies and models will follow in the future.
